Adventure Racing - The pinnacle of Multisport!
Terra Events is proud to announce the 2005 Terra Sprint Series, Oregon's
only adventure racing series! This is a fast paced, dynamic series designed
to provide the experienced athlete with a tough challenge they will be
proud to complete. In addition we offer a shorter format course for beginner
and intermediate racers.
All four of the races - Mountain, Urban, Gorge, and Ocean - will challenge
you and your team who will mountain bike, trek, ropes, paddle, snowshoe,
and tackle tough navigation to make it back to the finish line.
The Terra Sprint Series race locations are all within a 1-2 hour drive
of downtown Portland, and feature 'race in a day' format to minimize travel
time and expenses. Choose from the shorter 'Sport Course' (3 to 6
hours) for beginning-to-intermediate racers, or the longer and highly
challenging 'Pro Course' (6 to 12 hours) for experienced adventure racers.
Both race formats will feature highly challenging navigation, and demand
a lot from you and your team. Are you up for the challenge?

Terra Sprint Gorge - July 16th - Columbia River Gorge, OR
This race will be held in the breathtaking and spectacular scenery
of the Columbia River Gorge, east of Downtown Portland, OR. The rugged
terrain will include some challenging trekking, tough navigation, an
epic ropes section, kayaking, and some tough mountain biking. Solo competitors
and teams of 2, 3, and 4 are welcome in Coed, All Male, and All Female
divisions.
This is the third race in the Terra Sprint Series and will be a points
qualifier for the Terra Sprint Series Champion title.
Distance: 30 to 40 miles (Pro Course); 12 to 24 miles (Sport Course)
Duration: 6 to 12 Hours (Pro Course); 3 to 6 Hours (Sport Course)

Triathlon offers both SuperSprint and Sprint distances. SuperSprint
is a 375-meter swim, 10k bike and a 2.5k run. Sprint distance triathlon
competition is a .75k swim, 23.5k bike and a 5k run. Individual and
Relay Team competitions.
The Expo and triathlon activities take place at Steel Lake Park in
Seattle/Federal Way, WA (USA). The
event has been designed to be manageable for novice participants as
well as challenging for seasoned triathletes.
The swim is in Steel Lake and is followed by a rolling bike course
in and around beautiful and quiet wooded areas on the Weyerhaeuser campus.
The run travels through the neighborhood and surrounding Steel Lake.
The race finishes with the Post-Race Party in Steel Lake Park.

Terra Sprint Ocean - Oct 1st - North Coast, OR
This is the Terra Sprint Series Championship race and it'll feel like
it! Don't expect to be mollycoddled or have your hand held. Navigation
is going to be a serious issue for teams if you aren't prepared. The
rugged coastline of Oregon will be the crucible in which teams are tested
for the bragging rights and title of Terra Sprint Series Champion. Come
prepared for Coasteering, Trekking, Mountain Biking, Orienteering, Kayaking,
and some great Ropes courses.
This final race in the Terra Sprint Series will be worth double points
and will be doubly tough. Just finishing this race will be a testament
to the strength and skill of you and your team.
Solo Competitors and Teams of 2, 3, or 4 in Coed, All Female or All
Male divisions are welcome.
